Understanding customer search behavior is critical for great SEO. At BloomNation, we analyze these search behaviors and use the information to create features that can help drive traffic to your website, leading to higher rankings in search results and new customers!
How does it work?
When a customer searches for flowers and mentions a specific occasion in their search (e.g., Birthday flowers, Anniversary flowers, Sympathy & Funeral flowers, etc), they should see your Top Occasions page within the search results in your delivery area.
Once they click into your website from these searches, they will be presented with a pre-filtered page featuring products from your catalog with that occasion tag (known as a Product Listing Page or "PLP").

For each of your top 4 best-selling occasion categories, we've added a section to the bottom of the first page of the corresponding Product Listing Page (PLP) to include:
- A paragraph containing specific keywords about your shop and the occasion the customer searched for
- Top 4 best-selling products within the occasion*
- Top reviews 4 stars and above for the selected occasion**
Each component of the Top Occasions page contains key information most often rewarded by popular search engines, helping to increase your website's SEO strength. Increased SEO strength means higher rankings in search results, and, as a result, new customers!
*Note: BloomNation will automatically highlight the top 4 products in the category, but if less than 4 products are tagged for that specific occasion, we will only present the number of products available.
**Note: Review emails are automatically emailed to the purchaser 24 hours after the requested delivery date. See here for how to respond to your reviews! If you have no reviews for this section, the default message will read "This florist has no reviews".

Can I edit this information?
In the future, there may be an option to edit your Top Occasions information, but we can't make adjustments, at this time. If you are unhappy with a specific featured product, removing the occasion tag or simply disabling the product will remove it from the top 4 options shown at the bottom of the occasion page.
